We have a great reputation for teaching social research methods. You’ll be taught by research active academics who use examples from their own research to teach you how to:

We offer bespoke study and career support. You’ll have personal tutors and a peer support network who are always here to help. The department and the student-run Sociology Society (SocSoc) for Criminology, Media and Communication and Sociology students organise regular socials, such as the annual Sociology Christmas Quiz, to help you build a strong support network alongside your assignments.
