Analysing biodiverse habitats and connectivity across ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ AONB

High resolution satellite data has been used to monitor diversity and public access in the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Overview

Funded by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) as part of its Test & Trial project ‘Making space for Nature’, this study uses satellite images to monitor biodiversity, enhance solar organic carbon sequestration and assess public access in the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hills AONB, which is local to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. The project contributes both to the ‘Life on Land’ SDG and the UK government’s 25 Year Environment Plan.
