Every project I did on placement involved an element of collaboration, and the leadership, communication and teamworking skills I gained have really supported my group project work.

University is great for gaining a whole range of knowledge you need, but a placement year gives you the chance to develop on a personal level and use that knowledge to create real world impact. At its core, engineering is about solving problems, and a placement year gives you the perfect opportunity to do that.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has high student satisfaction and a great Law School. For an aspiring lawyer this was a great mix, as I knew I'd be in an environment where I could flourish academically but also be emotionally supported. At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ I believed I would find this - and I have! 

I would absolutely recommend a placement year to anyone that has the opportunity to do one. Not only does the placement year help you learn and grow as a person, but it truly helps you in figuring out what you want to do after university.

I was always determined to go study abroad and the main reason I choose ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ was because of the study abroad option and the vast number of universities I could pick from.

My lecturers completely love what they do; they don’t just want to teach you, but give you their ‘all’ in the subject.
