All ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ students are given the chance to study a language alongside their course. It’s a great additional offering and I’m thankful to the University for providing me with it.

The teaching staff are fabulous! My tutors have supported me both personally and academically to ensure I’m able to reach my full potential.

I fell in love with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s campus from images online, but nothing compares to seeing it first-hand. The moment I set foot here, felt the atmosphere and met some of my course mates, I knew I had made the right decision.

My main achievement on placement was being offered a three-month extension, which led to a permanent position.

Lab sessions are the highlight of the course for me. Being able to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve gained to something tangible is extremely satisfying. I spend time calculating, designing and deliberating – and it’s the most rewarding of feelings when it all works out.

I worked at Fitzpatrick Referrals, home of The Supervet, and assisted with spinal surgery on a miniature dachshund suffering from intravertebral disc disease.

On my EMS, I got to perform a lump removal, calculating and drawing up drugs, placing an IV, and inducing and intubating the patient – I felt like a real vet!

By the end of my placement, I had implemented a variety of complex features in a large software product that’s used by businesses all over the world, which felt like a huge achievement.

Completing a Foundation Year and progressing into the first year is like moving into a house that’s already a home. The Foundation Year not only supplied the key knowledge, but it helped me adapt to University life.
