ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½

Are you curious about the night sky? Have you ever wanted to see planets and galaxies through a telescope, or learn about the latest discoveries in astronomy? Now’s your chance!

We run monthly events from October to March, on Wednesdays from 7:15pm to 9:15pm. Each evening begins with an engaging research talk delivered by a ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ academic, followed by stargazing (weather permitting).

Guests will have the opportunity to observe through small telescopes provided by Guildford Astronomical Society members, as well as ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s 16-inch telescope housed in the observatory dome. If the weather is cloudy, alternative indoor activities (such as a tour of the night sky) will be offered.

We take over Guildford High Street with interactive simulations, telescopes and all things space. We even run a SEN-friendly space for those needing a calmer environment.

It's a chance for local residents to engage with our staff and students and discover the exciting research we are part of here at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.
